OUR PROGRAMS

The work NLCDC provides is less about dollars, pounds of food, and material assistance but a holistic approach recognizing that the majority of the individuals we serve face multiple layers of barriers and trauma that prevent them from thriving. Barriers such as limited English proficiency, lack of access of affordable healthcare and/or insurance, significant housing insecurity, undocumented immigration status, limited or no knowledge of social service structures and systems, and much more are layered to create situations that are overwhelming. Our programs and services seek to empower our neighbors and nurture a supportive community in which every neighbor is valued and recognized as worthy, capable and deserving of investment and support.
